Week 8- September 30th-October 3rd
Tuesday September 30th We started off our week with learning about the letter Gg. Students practiced the letter sound and identified some Gg words in our classroom (one of which was our classroom goose). Afterwards, we read a story from our Religion curriculum called "Ducks and Flowers". This story is about a little girl who goes on a picnic with her family and learns that not all animals can eat the same food as us and that she should leave the wildflowers in the park for everyone to enjoy. Students then came up with simple ways in which we could take care of God's creations, even when we are this little. We then moved on to talking about pentagons and how they are a shape with 5 sides. Students watched a video to show them some 5 sided things we can find in the world. To finish our day, we enjoyed some center time while I worked one-on-one with students.
