Week 10- October 13th-17th
Monday October 13th
We started off our week by talking about the letter Ii. Students practiced making the sound and hearing the difference between the other vowels that we have learned so far.
We started off pumpkin week by drawing Jack-O-Lantern faces and painting some crayon resistant pumpkins while talking about the different colors pumpkins can be.
We continued our day by making cards to send to a classmate who is very sick.
Tuesday October 14th
We started the day with birthday cupcakes to celebrate Susannah's birthday!
We continued to work on the letter Ii and practicing our letter skills. We also read "The Biggest Pumpkin Ever" and looked through our My Big World magazine, which talked about big and small facts about pumpkins.
To end our early out day, students watched Encanto to close out Hispanic Heritage Month.
Wednesday October 15th
We started the day with Mass and students did an amazing job with their 8th grade buddies.

Thursday October 16th
We started the day by practicing writing the letter Ii on our tables with dry erase markers and went on to a pumpkin counting worksheet.
During recess today, students practiced what to do during an earthquake and did amazing.
Students also got the opportunity to participate in a whole school rosary with our 8th grade buddies and practiced being respectful to those around us and God during prayer.
Friday October 17th
We started our morning with P.E. and continued last weeks lesson of tossing bean bags in to the center of the gym.
We also got to experience our first field trip!! The students favorite part of the trip was most likely getting to ride on a school bus but they were also able to feed fish and other farm animals, pick their own pumpkin, play in the corn pit, zipline, compete in slide races and race through an obstacle course! Thank you Rhymer's Ridge for allowing us to come and thank you to all of the chaperones who helped make this field trip a possibility.
Next week's topics
Next week, we will be talking all about Nocturnal Animals as our theme. We will also be talking about the letter Jj and shape review.
