Week 23- February 2nd-6th

 Monday February 2nd

We had our makeup glow party this morning.  Students started the day dancing in the big school gym for an epic dance glow party.





We then moved to lunch where DJ Father Clark gave us the most amazing beats to dance to.




Students also took part in "glow centers" where they participated in bowling, coloring, cup stacking, a ball toss, and dancing throughout the preschool building!















Tuesday February 3rd

We started our day off in church with our 8th grade buddies.  Students were able to receive a blessing of the throat during this time.

Students also got meet up with their 8th grade buddies later in the day to make up our service learning project from last week.  Students worked with their buddies to make valentines to give to a local nursing home.






We also celebrated Evelyn C. half birthday!

Wednesday February 4th

Students started the morning by learning about the letter Tt.  They also worked on some fine motor skills by making a torn paper heart for Valentine's Day.








Thursday February 5th

Students read through our "My Big World: How to be a Good Friend" magazine and discussed ways that we can be good friends both in and out of the classroom.

Students also continued to learn about the letter Tt and the number 12.

Friday February 6th

We started our Fun Friday with P.E.  Students got to use the parachute and practice listening skills by playing a few games!

Students also enjoyed recess out on the big flat since our playground still has some snow on it and were so excited to be outside again!

 Next week's topics

When we return, we will be talking about Valentine's Day as our theme.  We will also be talking about the number 13  and letter Uu.  We will additionally be introducing our new Heggerty curriculum.

Important Reminders

  • Please make sure to sign your child in and out on the iPad daily.  If you forget your barcode, there is a binder ring with all of your barcodes in the back of your child's cubby.
  • Please make sure to help your child pick their lunch daily.  Second choice alternates daily.  On MWF, we have sunbutter and jelly.  On T/Th, we have ham or turkey and cheese.
  • Please check student's folder daily.  Often, items from the office are sent home with the youngest student.

  Monday August 25th Today we started talking about the letter Bb.  Students worked to find the letter Bb in songs and think of words that started with the letter Bb.  We then read a story from our religion curriculum about Jesus and his special friends, the Apostles, who were fishermen who chose to follow Jesus.  We talked about ovals and how they are squashed circles or "flat tires" as the kids said.  We finished our day with centers while students showed off their name writing skills. Week 2- August 18th-22nd

  Monday August 16th We started our week by continuing our daily morning meeting.  Afterwards, we moved to learning about the letter Aa and talked about the sound and what it looks like.  We also talked this morning about our calm spot and read a story about how to calm ourselves when we have big emotions.  Students also listened to a song to remind them how to calm down using stretches and breathing. After lunch, we talked about circles and how they have no sides and go around and round.  Students have also been working one on one with me to start our alphabet assessments to gauge where students are to start the year. Welcome!

  Hello preschool families!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! My name is Miss Harley Hagenhoff and this is my second year teaching!  I graduated from Missouri Valley College in December of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.  Before that, I graduated from Helias Catholic High School in May of 2020.  I am the oldest of 7 kids and have two fur babies, Dakota and Elsa.  If I am not in the classroom, I am typically finding some sort of craft to do or playing with my puppies!
