Tuesday January 27th

Since the day was a late start,  Students got to enjoy skipping nap to watch a movie!  

Wednesday January 28th

We started our day on Wednesday by practicing counting syllables.  Students have done such a great job in picking up this concept in our room.  We also discussed the different ways that we can pray and talk to God while also talking about how lucky we are to be in a school where we can show our love for God daily.

Students also cheered on Molly, as well as the rest of the school in our all school pep assembly.





Thursday January 29th

We started our day by coloring thank you notes for the priests at St. Peter and St. Andrew Churches.  We also discussed how priests help to guide us in our faith.





We also enjoyed watching the Staff vs. 8th grade volleyball game.


Friday January 30th

We started the day with the Pilgrims of Hope parade, where students got to show off all of their big dreams.










We also got the chance to test out our black lights for the glow party!


 Next week's topics

When we return, we will be talking about Valentine's Day as our theme.  We will also be talking about the number 12  and letter Tt.  We will additionally be introducing our new Heggerty curriculum.

Important Reminders

  • Please make sure to sign your child in and out on the iPad daily.  If you forget your barcode, there is a binder ring with all of your barcodes in the back of your child's cubby.
  • Please make sure to help your child pick their lunch daily.  Second choice alternates daily.  On MWF, we have sunbutter and jelly.  On T/Th, we have ham or turkey and cheese.
  • Please check student's folder daily.  Often, items from the office are sent home with the youngest student.

  Monday August 25th Today we started talking about the letter Bb.  Students worked to find the letter Bb in songs and think of words that started with the letter Bb.  We then read a story from our religion curriculum about Jesus and his special friends, the Apostles, who were fishermen who chose to follow Jesus.  We talked about ovals and how they are squashed circles or "flat tires" as the kids said.  We finished our day with centers while students showed off their name writing skills. Week 2- August 18th-22nd

  Monday August 16th We started our week by continuing our daily morning meeting.  Afterwards, we moved to learning about the letter Aa and talked about the sound and what it looks like.  We also talked this morning about our calm spot and read a story about how to calm ourselves when we have big emotions.  Students also listened to a song to remind them how to calm down using stretches and breathing. After lunch, we talked about circles and how they have no sides and go around and round.  Students have also been working one on one with me to start our alphabet assessments to gauge where students are to start the year. Welcome!

  Hello preschool families!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! My name is Miss Harley Hagenhoff and this is my second year teaching!  I graduated from Missouri Valley College in December of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.  Before that, I graduated from Helias Catholic High School in May of 2020.  I am the oldest of 7 kids and have two fur babies, Dakota and Elsa.  If I am not in the classroom, I am typically finding some sort of craft to do or playing with my puppies!
