Week 18- December 15th-18th
Monday December 15th
We started our week off with some hot chocolate provided by our amazing cafeteria staff and volunteers!
Students also got to enjoy our school's St. Lucy day parade with all sorts of amazing costumes.
After the amazing parade, students celebrated Polar Express day in the most amazing way. We projected the movie in the gym for students to watch. Students also got to go take a picture with the "conductor" and the Polar express.
We ended our day with a special visit from Mr. Viet. He had received a special package straight from the North Pole with a special letter to students. Inside, students received a bell that was so cold after coming from the North Pole!
Tuesday December 16th
We started our day by practicing our scissor skills and recognizing the letters in our names. Students used scissors to cut out each light bulb and then used a glue stick to attach the letters to their string of lights.
We finished our day with a Praise Assembly and were able to watch our kindergarten friends perform their Christmas program.
Wednesday December 17th
We started our day off with Mass with our 8th grade buddies. Students did an amazing job at paying attention and not distracting their buddies.
Students also worked on their shape and color skills by sorting the ornaments on a paper Christmas tree.
Thursday December 18th
We started our day off with tons of fun! Students started by listening to Christmas stories read by parents!
Students ate amazing snacks and participated in some amazing games. (Thank you to the parents who were able to attend to keep me sane!)
Even our classroom goose, Lucy got involved in pin the nose on the reindeer.
Students also got a special delivery in our classroom while we were at recess and enjoyed getting to open all of their gifts!
I cannot express how thankful I am for all of your generosity both in and out of the classroom! We could not have had such an amazing party without all of your help. I also am very thankful for the gifts given to myself and Miss Paige. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to expand the minds of these young learners throughout the first semester.
Next week's topics
When we return, we will be talking about Penguins/Artic as our theme. We will also be talking about the letter Qq and the number 6 and 7. We will additionally be introducing our new Heggerty curriculum.
