Week 33 April 22nd-25th

Wednesday April 23rd

We started our day with a letter writing assessment where students worked very hard to show how much their writing has improved since the start of the school year.

We then went on to learn about dandelions and how they turn from yellow flowers into puffballs and spread seeds everywhere.  We also talked about which animals eat dandelions and how people sometimes eat them in salads.

Thursday April 24th

Today we learned about Daniel and the Lion's Den with the help of our children's Bible and Veggietales.  Students learned how we should never be afraid because God is always with us.

Instead of nap today, we took our annual walking field trip to YoYum's downtown.  Students had a blast looking into the windows of local shops and eating some frozen yogurt.  We even stopped to play in the Capital Lawn on our way back.

To finish our day, we completed our 6th Magic Treehouse book so students could rest their bodies after going for such a long walk.

Friday April 25th

We started our morning with some more tee ball and soaking up the sun.  Students have improved tremendously on hitting the ball and some hit the ball all the way across the playground.

We then went inside and calmed down our bodies with some flamingo themed yoga.

After lunch, we practiced how to do hand massages for our Muffins and Makeovers with Mom event.

We finished our day by working in groups to make muffins to serve our moms on Monday.
