Week 30 March 31st-April 4th

 Monday March 31st

We started our day by experiencing stations of the cross with Miss Massman's 2nd grade class.  Students got to see the process behind stations, while also being in the church.


We then went on to learn about the letter Xx and practiced its tricky sound.  

To finish off our day, we read about trash trucks in our My Big World magazine.

Tuesday April 1st

We started our day by learning about the letter U and practiced writing the uppercase letter.  We then read a story in religion about a classroom that used instruments to praise God and celebrate being friends of Jesus.

We finished our day by using watercolors to paint the background for our egg craft this week.




Wednesday April 2nd

We started the day with Mass with our 7th grade buddies and then came back to class to learn how to write lowercase u.

We finished our day by working on our craft to give dads when they come for our donuts and dodgeball with dads event.

Thursday April 3rd

We learned our last heart word "look" today! Students were very excited to learn the last heart word of the school year.  We then read about David and Goliath and watched "Dave and the Big Pickle" by veggie tales.

We completed our eggs today by cutting them out and then using qtips and paint to make patterns on the eggs.




We finished the day with a talent show put on by the big school.

Friday April 4th

The day started with spring pictures and then a quick walk to Adrian's Island before the storms.



When we got back from Adrian's Island, students went to Miss Jay's room for recess and sang happy birthday to Miss Maddie!


At the end of our day, we finished our crafts for dads and read more of our "Afternoon on the Amazon" Magic Treehouse book!

  • April 8th is a 1:15 dismissal.
  • Mass on April 16th. Please arrive by 7:45.  Also a praise assembly this day.
  • No School April 17th, 18th, 21st or 22nd for Easter Break.
  • Mass on April 30th. Please arrive by 7:45.

  Where do i even begin?  I want to thank all of the parents for helping your child be successful in this first "week" of school!  I am so proud of all of my students for how quickly they have adapted to this next adventure!  I will post on our classroom website once a week (I will try to have the weekly post up by Saturday evenings).  I will also try to do a better job of taking pictures during activities so that you as parents can have a better look into our classroom. Week 2- Aug 19th-23rd

  Monday August 19th Monday we started talking about all of our curriculum work.  We introduced Larry the letter lion to help us reviewing and introducing our handwriting buddies.  We talked all about Stanley stick and how he starts at the top and goes straight down to the bottom.  We also talked about the letter A and made a list of words that all start with the a sound. During religion class, we talked about the Bible and what it is made up of.  We then talked about Jesus and who he is and what his mission on Earth was (spreading God's love).  The students met our classroom stuffed Jesus and got to see where to find him in our classroom.   After recess, we had a popsicle party to celebrate a friend in Miss Nikki's class who had a birthday, as well as his sister in our class.  We then started in on our emotion lesson by reading "A Little Scribble Spot" and talking about what colors match each emotion.  We then finished our day with our ...

  Hello preschool families!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! My name is Miss Harley Hagenhoff and this is my first year teaching!  I recently graduated from Missouri Valley College in December of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.  Before that, I graduated from Helias Catholic High School in May of 2020.  I am the oldest of 7 kids and have two fur babies, Dakota and Elsa.  If I am not in the classroom, I am typically finding some sort of craft to do or playing with my puppies!
