Week 26 March 3rd-6th

 Monday March 3rd

We started our week talking about the letter Hh.  During Religion, we discussed what Lent is and made our own Lenten promises.

To kick off Dr. Seuss week, we read "Oh the Places You'll Go" and decorated hot air balloons to be display in our classroom.  Students had to think about what they want to be when they grow up.  Students told me they aspire to be everything from doctors to artists to popstars to Spiderman and the Flash.

Tuesday March 4th

Today, we talked all about the letter Jj and read the story of The Prodigal Son and talked about how we can always get forgiveness if we simply ask for it.

To end our day, we read "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and discussed what the students thought oobleck might feel like.  Students then got to play with oobleck and were very grossed out.

Wednesday March 5th

We started our morning with Ash Wednesday mass and students were very excited to actually walk up to receive their ashes!

After lunch, we participated in the state wide tornado drill.

We finished the day by listening to some friends from Helias read us some fun books from our classroom library.

Thursday March 6th

Students got to learn a new heart word with Miss Paige and Mrs. Vizner and have all sorts of other fun while Miss Jay, Miss Nikki and myself attended the Conference on the Young Years to help better ourselves and our classrooms.
