Week 16 November 25th-26th

 Monday November 25th

We started our day by making Pilgrim hats to wear for our Thanksgiving Day Parade.  After all of the students had completed their hats, we set off to parade through the big school.


The students had a blast going through the school for our parade and were all smiles when we got back to the class.


We finished our day by making our Charlie Brown trail mix and reading our Thanksgiving edition of My Big World.  Students helped discuss ways that we can all help in or around the kitchen during the Thanksgiving season.

Tuesday November 26th

We started our day by enjoying our Charlie Brown trail mix and then we joined Miss Jay and Mrs. Nikki to watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.


The rest of our day was pretty relaxed and we finished with a Praise Assembly.


Important reminder

Our Christmas caroling is on December 5th at 11:00.  Students are to wear their Christmas best for the day.  Parking is limited and the line to get through security may be long as performances are happening all day.  MWF students are allowed to come but must meet us at the Capital for the caroling.

We have 1:30 dismissals on both the 10th and the 18th of December.  Christmas break starts December 19th and school will resume on January 6th.

  Where do i even begin?  I want to thank all of the parents for helping your child be successful in this first "week" of school!  I am so proud of all of my students for how quickly they have adapted to this next adventure!  I will post on our classroom website once a week (I will try to have the weekly post up by Saturday evenings).  I will also try to do a better job of taking pictures during activities so that you as parents can have a better look into our classroom. Week 2- Aug 19th-23rd

  Monday August 19th Monday we started talking about all of our curriculum work.  We introduced Larry the letter lion to help us reviewing and introducing our handwriting buddies.  We talked all about Stanley stick and how he starts at the top and goes straight down to the bottom.  We also talked about the letter A and made a list of words that all start with the a sound. During religion class, we talked about the Bible and what it is made up of.  We then talked about Jesus and who he is and what his mission on Earth was (spreading God's love).  The students met our classroom stuffed Jesus and got to see where to find him in our classroom.   After recess, we had a popsicle party to celebrate a friend in Miss Nikki's class who had a birthday, as well as his sister in our class.  We then started in on our emotion lesson by reading "A Little Scribble Spot" and talking about what colors match each emotion.  We then finished our day with our ...

  Hello preschool families!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! My name is Miss Harley Hagenhoff and this is my first year teaching!  I recently graduated from Missouri Valley College in December of 2023 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education.  Before that, I graduated from Helias Catholic High School in May of 2020.  I am the oldest of 7 kids and have two fur babies, Dakota and Elsa.  If I am not in the classroom, I am typically finding some sort of craft to do or playing with my puppies!
