Week 15 November 18th-22nd

Monday November 18th

We started our day with learning about the letter Yy and practicing the letter sound.  Students also did a great job at coming up with words that start with Yy.

During religion, we read a story called "A Family's Love".  This story talked about all the things we do to show that we love our family.

After nap everyday, students ask Miss Paige to read out of our children's Bible while I work with students in the second room.  I was able to sneak a picture of this special moment between Miss Paige and the students.

After recess, we joined with Miss Jay and Mrs. Nikki for our first rehearsal of our Christmas Carols as a whole group.  The students did so well for our first group rehearsal.

Tuesday November 19th

We started our day by reviewing the letter Yy and adding any additional words that the students could think of.

We then started on our turkey craft (which is displayed on the class "fridge").  Students were given the pieces to make a turkey and then were walked through the process of where to put each piece.  The students did an excellent job and the finished product is adorable.

At the end of our day, we continued to practice our songs with Miss Jay and Mrs. Nikki and their friends.

Wednesday November 20th

We started our day with all school Mass with our 7th grade buddies.

After Mass, we learned about our final letter of the alphabet.  Students got to participate in the alphabet workout after learning about the letter Zz as a celebration.

We finished our day with our "I am thankful" paper.  Students were asked to draw a picture of something they are thankful for, or happy to have in our life.  Pictures ranged from families to dinosaurs to pickles.

Thursday November 21st

We started with our letter Zz word list.  After that, we discussed ways that we could help at home and school to show our families that we love and appreciate them.  Students also colored a picture of a flower with our ways to help written on it.

We finished our day with a Thanksgiving plate and discussed all of the things that we love to eat at Thanksgiving.

Friday November 22nd

We of course started fun Friday off with P.E. and the students got to play the last round of our bean bag relay races.

For Religion, students got to watch a Veggie Tales episode all about loving and helping family.

We finished our day with caroling rehearsal and then had a dance party in our classroom!

An email was sent to parents regarding upcoming dates and important reminders so please read that for information regarding parties and caroling.
