Week 14 November 11th-15th
Monday November 11th
We started our morning off with an assembly to honor all of our active and retired military personnel. The students were absolutely amazing during the assembly.
When we returned to our classroom, we started our Religion class. Today, we read the story of the finding in the temple and talked about how it felt if we have ever lost something or been lost.
We finished off our day by practicing some fine motor skills. Students practiced ripping paper to gain hand strength. The students then glued the paper to a paper plate to create a slice of pumpkin pie for our classroom door.
Tuesday November 12th
We started our day by learning about the letter Ww and practiced making the letter sound. Students worked hard to think of words that started with Ww for our word list.
For religion, we reviewed our story from Monday. We then talked a little about what we should do if we get lost when we are at places like the grocery store or church.
Today was also our early dismissal day so students got to have their dance party early!
Wednesday November 13th
We continued to review the letter Ww and added any additional words to our word list.
During religion. we talked about how families can work together and how we can help our families.
We finished off our day with some playdough fun. Miss Paige prompted the students to create a shape, letter, or number with their playdough and the students were laughing and giggling the whole time.
Thursday November 14th
We introduced the letter Xx today and talked about the sound it makes. Students first made the /k/ sound and the /s/ sound. After that we worked on putting them together and making the sound for Xx.
During religion, we drew pictures of our families to display in our classroom.
We spent the last part of our day, we worked on a super special project for students to give to parents for Thanksgiving.
Friday November 15th
We started our day with P.E. and continued to work on our tossing skills with our hula hoop/bean bag game.
For religion, we watched an animated version of our story for the week.
Shortly after our video, the internet stopped working so students got some extra time to chat with their friends while we were taking a bathroom break.
We finished our day with an extra recess and spent the whole afternoon soaking up the last bit off nice weather for this year.
