Week 36 May 12th-15th

  Monday May 12th Today, we started with a fun way to practice our letter writing.  Students got to write on the table with shaving cream.  Afterwards, we took a tour of the big school and talked about where some of their new classrooms are for next year.  They got to see the art and music rooms, gym, and library as we discussed what classes they might get to be in next year. To finish our day, Miss Jay invited us to play "the island game", where students had to guess what the items they could bring to the themed island. Tuesday May 13th Today we enjoyed playing in our centers one last time before the end of the year.  Students also got the chance to color some giant coloring sheets that were donated. We finished our day with the movie "Madagascar" and had popcorn and juice to celebrate our last early out day! Week 35 May 5th-9th

  Monday May 5th We started our morning by talking about rhyming words again and students practiced their scissor skills to complete a rhyming match worksheet. After lunch, we watched an episode of Wild Kratts to prepare for our reptile presentation.  We then went to our Reptile Rap presentation put on by Wildheart.  Students got to learn about reptiles, sing songs, and get an up close look at a snake. Tuesday May 6th We started our morning with an extra special science experiment for Ss day.  Miss Samantha, who taught preschool in our room last year, taught the kids all about slime making!  Students learned the fancy words that make slime turn into slime and made their very own slime to take home. After lunch, we worked on matching letters.  Students had to find and color the lowercase letter that matched the uppercase on the sea animals. Week 34 April 28th-May 2nd

  Monday April 28th We started our morning by celebrating our the moms of our classroom.  Students enjoyed muffins and got to give moms a fun new makeover.  Thank you again to all of those who came. We continued our day by talking all about bugs and how they have jobs they do every day.  Students have taken notice to bees when we are outside for activities so we talked about how they help plants grow. Tuesday April 29th We started our day by playing a new game called Finding Larry.  Students are tasked with finding a little lion picture hidden behind leaves that are labeled with letters.  The students were so excited to learn and play this new game. We then read a story about a special celebration to honor the Mother Mary.  We discussed how our mass on Wednesday would be different because of the May Crowning ceremony.
